Your Personal Ministry and Missions

Please read All Christians Are Missionaries

So what can you do locally, Nationally, and Internationally to be obedient to Christ and his commission for the church and you?  There is a lot of simple things every person can do to reflect the grace and truth of Jesus in their lives and everyone around them.

Locally:
  • Find a local volunteer organization:  (Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Lions Club, Homeless Shelters, Ronald McDonald House, etc.)
  • Accumulate 5-10$ gift cards and give them to homeless.
  • Sell items, car wash, garage sale, or bake sale, and raise support for a local ministry or organization that helps those in need.
  • Organize a weekly home dinner and bible study.
  • Make Gospel and Prayer list of friends and family to seek an opportunity to tell them the gospel and pray for them weekly. (see our Making Disciples article)
Nationally and Internationally:
  • Get involved in a National or International organization/ministry (see our Ministries List)
  • Sell items, car wash, garage sale, or bake sale, and raise support for a local ministry or organization that helps those in need.
  • Attend national conferences and workshops.
  • Organize a prayer chain of people from all around the country and/or world.
  • Do a weekend, week long, or summer long mission trip to another region or country with a group of friends or family.
No matter what is done; it needs to be done with Jesus Christ at its reason and purpose.  His glory alone.  The gospel is central message in each and every thing or it is done in vain.  Even if no one accepts or receives the gospel message; God is still glorified because it was done for him.  No mission work should be done with the expectation of you getting something in return.  We do not serve people to gain their acceptance or gain their favorable opinion;  we serve people because we love God.  Our service of the need is for God's glory and that is our worship of Him.
